To eat or not to eat your placenta

My daughter went to a breastfeeding class today and met a couple girls her age, due around the same time as her.  Apparently one the girls would like to eat her placenta. I didn’t ask how she was planning to do this. It made me curious, so I looked into the benefits, wow! I found this recipe ,I think is rad.

Prepare and marinate the placenta in lemons and spices.

Steam the placenta.

This is what it looks like after steaming.

Cut the placenta into strips. Dry out completely.  Place in food processor and place powder into capsules.
Health benefits are:
1.Balance postpartum hormones
2.Increase milk supply
3.Increases energy
4. Helps heal uterus in half the time

Hmmmm. Maybe?
